Buffalo Saturn Customers Get a Welcomed Surprise

West Herr Auto Group to create new Saturn service center to ensure continuing care for existing Saturn owners.

(Buffalo, New York) Buffalo New York Saturn customers are in for some welcome news despite General Motors’ decision to phase out the Saturn brand. Recognizing that existing Saturn owners will be concerned about ongoing service, parts and maintenance of their Saturn vehicles, the West Herr organization has decided to embrace the eventual restructuring of their two Saturn stores by creating a new Saturn service center in Orchard Park, New York.

The new West Herr Saturn service and parts center located at West Herr Chevrolet of Orchard Park, just a few doors away from the original Saturn building will see renovations completed by February 1st. Commenting on the change in location for Saturn service, William Loecher VP of West Herr “Our Saturn customers deserve an amazing customer experience, and we intend to ensure that they receive it.”

Business for the West Herr Group has been strong, and the company was able to retain all of their current Saturn factory trained service technicians and parts personnel. “They know the ins and outs of Saturn cars like no other technician in Buffalo, so it was wonderful that they all were able to make the move. Some of our techs have written parts of the service manual for Saturn, and will bring a new level of experience to the Chevrolet location as well.” said Brad Coon Service Director for West Herr.

West Herr has also moved their existing Saturn sales team to other locations with the group, and have expanded their duties so they can sell all of the West Herr Brands to their customers. Mark Carrow, the Director of Sales, added; “We hope that the decision by GM to phase out Saturn has no impact on our Saturn customers and we are doing everything in our power to insure that they know we care for them and their decision to buy from West Herr.”

All Western New York Saturn owners will now be able to have Saturn factory warranty, extended warranty and service work performed at the new Saturn Service Center located at the West Herr Chevrolet of Orchard Park location, which is conveniently only 100 yards away from the existing Saturn of Orchard Park dealership. This does not affect Saturn of Clarence/Resale North, which will continue to provide sales, parts and service for its Saturn customers.

West Herr is very appreciative of the support the Western New York community has shown both Saturn of Orchard Park and Saturn of Clarence over the last twenty years. As one of the original Saturn dealers and because of the tremendous community support, Saturn in Western New York was the #1 Saturn retailer in the United States for many of the last 10 years. West Herr is committed to continuing to provide the level of sales and service its Saturn customers have become accustomed to and deserve. It is a welcome change to see an automotive retailer committed to working tirelessly to ensure a smooth and seamless process during the Saturn transition period.

West Herr represents 19 New Vehicle Brands, is the 21st largest Automobile Group in the United States and has been proudly serving the Western New York community for 60 years.
