West Herr Has All 10 of Edmunds Top 10

Among the many Top 10 lists Edmunds.com included in its first quarterly Used Car Market Report, the website highlighted the leading used models purchased at franchised dealerships as well as the most-researched units at its website during Q1.

So which used model was scooped up most by purchasers at franchised stores? It was the Honda Accord.

Edmunds.com listed the Top 10 used-vehicle purchases as follows:

1. Honda Accord
2. Honda Civic
3. Toyota Camry
4. Chevrolet Silverado 1500
5. Ford F-150
6. Nissan Altima
7. Toyota Corolla
8. Chevrolet Impala
9. Honda CR-V
10. BMW 3-Series

“The Top 10 most researched vehicles are typically dominated by economical vehicles. Trucks usually make both lists of their utility,” Edmunds.com analysts said. “The Civic moved up one spot on the purchased list, commensurate with its increased research by consumers.”

Must Have Creature Comforts for Your Next Car, Part 1

In the Buffalo area, heated seats are great. What I did'nt realize was that heated seats have been available in cars since the 1960's, but remain an optional creature comfort for most models.

What may change their status from optional to standard is the introduction of cooled or ventilated seats in cars. For now, heated and cooled seats are part of option packages. For example, in the Buick LaCrosse, they are part of a $1,300 option package with leather seats and other upgrades.

Heating and cooling functions are typically paired. In the summer you will not need heated seats but may well appreciate the cooling effects of ventilated seats when hotter temperatures prevail.

Originally designed for use in a military context, Mercedes-Benz have announced they will be implementing a 6x6 all-wheel drive to their high-performance AMG G-class line - making it the company's second most expensive model behind the SLS electric.

Despite weighing almost 4000kg, and being equipped with standard 37 inch wheels, the AMG G63 SUV is fitted with a twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8, boasting 536 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque bringing it from 0-100 km/h (62mph) in just over 6 seconds. a 7-speed automatic gear-box and five locking differentials give full ride control - where compressor tanks for its tire inflation system give the vehicle the ability to travel in any conditions, regardless of the terrain. unlike military cockpits, the G63 is adorned intypical AMG fashion - with full alcalantra leather interiors, heavily contoured sport seats and a spacious rear passenger cabin.
