Help Fight A Rare But Serious Condition

Upcoming Buffalo Charity Event Benefits Prader-Willi Syndrome

Prader-Willi syndrome is the # 1 genetic cause of life threatening child hood obesity, and this Saturday Western New Yorkers will look to raise money to fight it.

The One Small Step Walk, sponsored Scotiabank, has already raised more than $17,000 for Prader-Willi syndrome.

"Prader-Willi is the # 1 genetic cause of life threatening child hood obesity," said West Herr's Joseph Aiello, who will be walking for a family member that is afflicted with the condition.  "Any help would be greatly appreciated."

While this condition may not be common knowledge, it certainly is something that affects many people each year.

There is a 2k walk or a 5k race plus a silent auction, a raffle and much more. One item up for auction is even a a Ryan Miller jersey signed by ALL the Buffalo Sabres.

The walk is this Saturday at 9 AM at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park.  There is still time to get involved whether by raising funds or donating.  Visit the walk online and hope to see you there, Buffalo!
