How To Save Insurance Money With Ford Sync

You've heard all the great things about Ford Sync by now, but you probably didn't hear about how it can actually save you money now.  Yes, Ford Sync is the gift that never stops giving.

CNet reported that Ford Sync users will soon be eligibile for State Farm's mileage based rate program. Basically insurance companies base rates on a mileage estimate.  Should users opt in to this program, Sync will submit data to State Farm.

This program is also available to OnStar customers.

Now, you may feel skiddish about sharing data with insurance companies, but it can certainly payoff.  Check out some of the data reported buy CNet:

"The typical policy holder who drives 1,000 miles a month and enrolls in the program can expect to save around 10 percent, according to a Ford news statement. Low mileage drivers can save as much as 40 percent on premiums."

Not bad right?  It's at least worth looking into.
