Annual Buffalo Charity Event Sets A Record
The Ride For Roswell broke it's own record! The amazing people of Western New York helped raise $3.7 million this weekend for cancer research and patient care!
"The $3.7 million will fund 25 cancer research studies and 30 patient care programs, while helping bring the hospital closer to fully funding a new clinical sciences center facility, which will house a new breast center and chemotherapy clinic," reported the Buffalo Business First Journal.
The event started on Friday night with the Ride's opening ceremony at UB. Rick Springfield performed and former Buffalo Bill Chris Spielman spoke. It was well received by all.
Saturday was the official Ride, and the weather was gorgeous. We have a full photo gallery from the event up on our Facebook page. Feel free to go check it out.
"You couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for the event," said Bill Loecher, VP at West Herr. We were proud to be the title sponsor this year.
We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who rode, volunteered, or contributed in any way. We are proud to be part of this event every year and this year in particular proved how incredibly generous and caring the Buffalo community can be.
Oh and we're already looking for volunteers for next year, so get to cycling! In all seriousnessthough, thank you again to everyone involved!
