Kick Off The Ride For Roswell In Style

Annual Buffalo Charity Event Gets A New Twist: An Opening Ceremony

"An opening ceremony is a way to recognize that cancer is claiming lives every day – and that Roswell Park is making a difference in the fight. But we can’t do it alone! We want The Ride, Roswell Park, and Western New York communities to see the importance of their support on a literally larger stage at UB."

That quote from the Ride For Roswell website sums up the importance and great sense of community found in the Ride For Roswell.  This is the first year the ride will feature an opening ceremony.

The ceremony will take place Friday June 22nd at the UB North Campus.  It will feature speakers, video tributes, the arrival of the peloton and even a performance by Grammy winner Rick Springfield of "Jessie's Girl" fame.

Steve Tasker, Former Bills great and current CBS analyst, will be the emceee of the event.  We are very much looking forward to it.

Our Team West Herr Ride Page is coming along great and we want to again thank everyone involved. We can't wait for the ceremony!
