Summer Convertible Showdown

Which Drop-Top Is Right For You

So we're in the throes of summer and some of you may be thinking about a convertible.  With so many to choose from, how do you know which one to go with?

Luckily, we've got you covered with a little help from our friends at Popular Mechanics. Here are some West Herr convertibles to choose from:

Nissan 370z

Available in six-speed, this car boasts a tight, 32.8-foot turning circle.  Popular Mechanics said "It feels quick from apex to apex, has a power folding top, and a unique, rewarding character."

BMW 328i

PM described the 328i as "quick shifting, six-speed manual gearbox that surpasses the Audi A5."  Bold words indeed, but we certainly agree.  Unlike some convertibles such as the Miata, the 328 fits 4 people comfortably.

Chevy Camaro 1LT

Even the V6 model will give you over 300 horsepower, enough to chase down plenty of sports cars (not that we encourage that).  Plus with 28 mpg highway, the Camaro is one of the more fuel efficient cars in the class.

Ford Mustang Convertible

The Mustang will get you 30 mpg highway, even topping the Camaro.  The Mustang has a larger trunk than most convertibles, and storage space is usually at a premium in cars like this.  As with the Camaro, the Mustang is much more affordable than many other convertibles such as the Porsche Boxter or the Infinity G37.

So there you go.  Plenty of options to choose from.  Browse around the West Herr inventory and stop in for a test drive.  Enjoy this weather either way!
