Toyota Named The Most Valuable Auto Brand In The World
Seems like every week in the auto world there's a story about Toyota. Lately the news has been as good as it can get for Toyota.
According to Millward Brown's annual "BrandZ" survey, Toyota is the most valuable auto brand in the world. They ousted BMW from the top spot in this year's survey.
"Toyota is a highly trusted brand, and recent events show how resilient they truly are," Peter Walshe of Millward Brown told Automotive News Europe.
According to Millward Brown, the Prius was largely responsible for Toyota's boost: "Fuel efficiency became a hygiene factor, and Toyota’s Prius continued its market leadership."
Toyota's brand value jumped 11 percentage points this year, with the final tally resting at $24.2 billion. Toyota had won this award from 2006-2009 and this marks their first time back atop the survey.
