Prescription pill abuse is the number one drug problem in Western New York. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has labeled prescription drug abuse a "national epidemic." ![]()
Now, there's a way for you to help.
In conjunction with Kids Escaping Drugs and multiple other sponsors, there will be a Prescription Drug Drop Off day on April 30th around Western New York and the nation.
"We urge everyone to check your medicine cabinet today, and drop off on April 30th," said a Kids Escaping Drugs representative. "Help keep unneeded, unwanted medications out our children's hands."
The key to the even is that there are no questions asked. Once the prescription drugs are dropped off, that's it. Literally no questions asked.
The drug drop off accepts all prescription and over-the-counter medications
