East Aurora: Living History

Buffalo Suburb Ripe With Hidden Culture And Attractions

The Elbert Hubbard-Roycroft Museum in East Aurora, NY is dedicated to a man who, among other things, wrote a memorial for the Titanic.  Not far away is Viddler's, of of the few remaining old style Five and Dime stores.  The village of East Aurora is known for its scenery and serenity, but it's history is not to be overlooked.

"East Aurora is not a locality - East Aurora is a condition of mind." Sounds like something from a town plaque  but that phrase actually comes from the village's Twitter account.  While East Aurora is clearly proud of it's past, the use of Twitter shows they aren't afraid to embrace the future.  The Elbert Hubbard Roycroft Museum

Founded in 1804 and incorporated in 1874, the village of East Aurora has multiple points of interest.  13th president Millard Filmore built the Millard Filmore House that can be seen today.

The Roycroft Campus on South Grove Street was created by noted American philosopher Elbert Hubbard and is now an international Arts & Crafts center.

The Village of East Aurora also houses Fisher-Price’s international headquarters on Girard Avenue in the Village.  Fisher-Price is known for their innovation and sustained success in the children's toy industry.

West Herr is honored and proud to have a dealership in the fine Village of East Aurora.  The amazing scenery and kind people makes our day more enjoyable. For more information on the village, visit them online today
