The Redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee

Glowing Reviews Describe Jeep As "Tough and Muscular"

Have you seen the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee? At first sight you know it's a Grand Cherokee, but it looks like it's been to the gym. The sculpted appearance of the All-New 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a masterful meld of classic styling cues and modern design.

"If you have a Land Rover LR4 and an Acura MDX in your garage, send them to the auction and replace them with this Grand Cherokee. It’s that good," said Jack Baruth of TheTruthAboutCars.com.

The Grand Cherokee was redesigned but also maintains a similarity to the old models that Jeep customers grew to love.  Popular Mechanics described the Cherokee as "tough and muscular."  The new look is a perfect compliment to the well crafted new features.

For one, Jeep has joined the digital age given the Grand Cherokee an iPad app.  But that's only the beginning.

First, the All-New standard keyless Go Key FOB not only offers passenger convenience but it also provides additional safety when entering the vehicle at night since there are not keys to fumble with. What's more, it prevents vehicle theft from occurring since the vehicle absolutely cannot be started without you or your SmartKey presets.

Certain Jeep models even often consumers a back up camera.  During parking and other similar maneuvers, it alerts the vehicle operator to obstacles immediately behind the vehicle which might otherwise be difficult to perceive. The rear system detects objects as far away as 87.7 inches.

Plus it's offroading capabilities are as good, if not better, than ever.  Just ask the critics.

"It's fairly astonishing that a vehicle as luxurious and refined as the new Grand can take on a very serious off-road trail and leave relatively unscathed—especially with such a long wheelbase," said Popular Mechanics.

As with any car, safety is one of the most important features.  The 2011 Grand Cherokee has earned the Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), placing it at the head of its class for safety and security. The 2010 'Top Safety Pick' designation only goes to the vehicles affording the best overall crash protection including roll over crashes.

"This is what we call a true luxury SUV," said George Wheeler, sales associate at West Herr Chrysler Jeep Suzuki in Hamburg, NY.  Visit West Herr online or at our Jeep dealership to see what all the buzz is about.
