Corvette Club of Buffalo August16thThe Corvette Club of Buffalo had their fifth annual drive on Sunday August 16th and it was a smashing success. The organizers said they could only fit 150 Corvettes in the Cavalcade that started at Salvatore’s Italian Garden in Depew and took a two hour State Police escorted cruise through the country for a nice lunch in Batavia.
West Herr Chevrolet of Orchard Park and Hamburg were represented by General Managers Rich Wilkinson and Pat Delia and along with Joe Salvatore from Salvatores Italian Gargen were recognized by the club as Corporate sponsors. There were raffles, T-shirts for sale and all donations went to benefit Kids Escaping Drugs.
It was truly a car enthusiasts dream, 150 Corvettes ranging from 1950’s to 2009’s and all shapes and sizes, Z06’s, Covertible’s and Coupes and every color you can imagine. They Club needed a police escort to stop traffic so all 150 could get through intersections to keep the group together through the winding ride through the country. It was an amazing site with some amazing sound to hear all 150 big V8’s start and take off all at the same time. But more than anything it benefitted a great cause.
West Herr was proud to be a part of this great event and appreciate the invitation to attend and look forward to working with the Corvette Club in the future!
