THREE YEARS IN THE MAKING, West Herr Dodge Finally Wins its 1st Game

West Herr Dodge WinsThe West Herr Dodge softball team finally won their first game on Wednesday night, July 8^th. This is one for the record books. After struggling with pitching changes and retirements over the last off season, they pulled one out in 7 innings.

Pitcher Jeff Chase had a strong night with 1 strike out limiting the Hop Inn team to only 15 runs. The West Herr team had a really strong night in the field backing up Chase limiting their errors and making plays.

The bats were strong with Mike Rice hitting a triple late in the game, along with Andrew hitting a double which could have easily been an infield home run if not limited to two by Steve Enser and his bum knee.

The final score was 19-15 and is the first win in team history.

The team has been together for 3 seasons now, led by Brett McNeil.
